Lincoln, NE (March 26th, 2025) - Nebraska Wesleyan softball improved to 17-4 after earning a dominant 8-2 victory over Bellevue Wednesday afternoon.
HOW IT HAPPENED
Nebraska Wesleyan was anchored by pitcher
Elise Warneke, who tossed a complete game while allowing two earned runs on seven hits. Warneke hit a huge milestone surpassing 400 career strikeouts. Meanwhile the Prairie Wolf offense continued to provide ample run support, with consistent hitting throughout the game. The Prairie Wolves opened up a 1-0 lead in the first inning on a
Lyndsey Roth RBI single. NWU added to their lead on a second inning
Paige Davison sacrifice fly. After allowing a home run in the top of the third, NWU responded with a four run bottom half of the inning thanks to RBIs from
Eva Fahrnbruch and
Hanna Roth. The Bruins got one run back in the fifth, before
Hanna Roth picked up her fourth RBI of the game in the bottom frame. NWU would add one more insurance run in the sixth on a
