Lincoln, NE - Following a close 21-10 loss to Dubuque, Nebraska Wesleyan returns home to face Loras College on Wesleyan Weekend.

Kick off for Saturday's game is set for 1:00 p.m. The game will be played at Abel Stadium, in Lincoln, Nebraska. Nebraska Wesleyan will live stream the game and carry live stats.

SCOUTING NEBRASKA WESLEYAN
At the halfway point of the season, Nebraska Wesleyan is 1-4, after being dealt a 21-10 defeat by Dubuque last weekend. The Prairie Wolves look to return to their previous weeks form, when the offense scored a season high 44 points in a 37 point victory over Luther. The Black and Gold enter Saturday averaging 17.60 points and 331.20 yards per game. Despite a slow start to the year, quarterback Connor White has started to find his rhythm, throwing for 473 yards and three touchdown passes in NWU's last two games. Overall, White has thrown for 772 yards with four touchdowns on a 63.24 completion percentage. White's top target is Joey McLaughlin, who is in the midst of a breakout junior season, catching 34 passes for 452 yards and five touchdowns. McLaughlin earned A-R-C Male Athlete of the Week for his three touchdown effort against Luther, and followed up with a program single game record 13 receptions against Dubuque. When Nebraska Wesleyan turns to the running game, Trystin Myers proves to be a back that is tough to bring down, reaching the end zone twice while rushing for 432 yards on 72 carries, which averages to six yards per carry.

On defense, NWU allows 29.40 points per game. The Golden Bullets are spearheaded by Hunter Hanke, who leads the team with 34 tackles, with three being tackles for loss. The Prairie Wolves are effective at forcing turnovers, with Darrius Paige and Antonio Martinez each picking off a pass, while the team has recovered six fumbles.

In the kicking game, Jace Winkler is 3-6 on field goal attempts, with a long of 44. Winkler also doubles as NWU's punter, averaging 36.13 yards per punt, with a long of 56 yards.

WESLEYAN WEEKEND
Saturday's match-up with Loras will mark NWU's annual celebration of Wesleyan Weekend. NWU is excited to welcome past alumni, their family, and friends to campus. Some of this weekend's events include reunions, the 2025 NWU Athletic Hall of Fame Class induction, and a variety of games and activities.

HEAD COACH BRIAN KELLER
Coach Brian Keller is in his 30th season at the helm of Nebraska Wesleyan football in 2025, continuing a legendary run as the winningest coach in program history. A Nebraska Wesleyan graduate and former player, Keller has led his alma mater since 1996, compiling a career record of 133-154. 

SCOUTING LORAS COLLEGE
Loras was defeated by Central in their last game and enters Saturday afternoon 0-4. The Duhawks average 16.75 points per game, while putting up 254 yards per game. Defensively, Loras allows 40.25 points per game. The Duhawks are led by Steve Helminiak, in his 12th season.

SERIES HISTORY AGAINST LORAS COLLEGE
Saturday will mark the eighth meeting between Nebraska Wesleyan and Loras. The Prairie Wolves are 1-6 all-time against the Duhawks.
