Saathoff Named A-R-C Offensive Player of the Week

LINCOLN, Neb. (October 27, 2025) – Nebraska Wesleyan junior setter Elecea Saathoff has been named the American Rivers Conference Offensive Player of the Week, announced Monday by the league office.

Saathoff, a Lincoln, Nebraska native, powered the Prairie Wolves to a perfect 2-0 week, highlighted by a statement 3-2 home win over Wartburg and a sweep of rival Doane. Over the two matches, Saathoff dished out 90 assists (11.25 per set) while running the offense at an impressive .370 setting efficiency. She now leads the A-R-C with 10.36 assists per set, a mark that ranks 10th nationally in NCAA Division III.

In NWU's five-set victory over Wartburg, Saathoff posted 58 assists, guiding four different attackers to hitting percentages above .250. Equally effective defensively, she added 17 digs and a block assist across the week.

This marks Saathoff's first career A-R-C weekly honor and adds to her standout junior campaign as one of the league's most balanced and dynamic setters. Nebraska Wesleyan improved to 15-7 overall and 3-3 in A-R-C play following the weekend sweep.
