LINCOLN, NEB. (February 17, 2024) - The Nebraska Wesleyan women's basketball team concluded its regular season with a 55-51 loss to Buena Vista on Saturday afternoon. 

HOW IT HAPPENED 

• Nebraska Wesleyan exploded out of the gate, leading 16-2 after one quarter of play. Nebraska Wesleyan shot 35.29 percent from the floor and made one three point shot. Defensively the Prairie Wolves held the Beavers to a shooting percentage of just 9.09. 
• Buena Vista responded in the second quarter, outscoring NWU 16-13 to make the score 29-18 at halftime. 
• The Beavers continued to charge in the third quarter, shooting 62.50 percent from the floor and outscoring Nebraska Wesleyan 17-9. After three quarters of play, Nebraska Wesleyan led 38-35.
• The Beavers capped off their comeback effort by outscoring Nebraska Wesleyan 20-13 in the fourth to take home the victory. 
• Ellie Bream led Nebraska Wesleyan with 16 points.
