LINCOLN, Neb. (Oct. 26, 2024) - Nebraska Wesleyan women's soccer fell short in their final conference game of the season, losing 0-6 against Central College. The Prairie Wolves finish the season 6-10-2 and 1-5-2 in American Rivers Conference play. Central advances to 10-5-2 overall and 3-2-2 in conference.
HOW IT HAPPENED
Central started off strong, scoring their first goal of the game in the sixth minute. Despite the black and gold's efforts to even the score, the Dutch were able to score another goal in the first half in the 17th minute. Central took control of the second period right away, scoring goals in the 46th, 48th and 53rd minutes. The Prairie Wolves ended up taking just one shot in the second half before the Dutch scored their final goal of the game during minute 63.
Nebraska Wesleyan totaled seven shots with both
Payten Smith and
Averie Hike taking two apiece. A tough Central squad limited NWU to just one shot on goal.
