Women's Soccer Hits the Road for the Conclusion of Regular Conference Play

LINCOLN, Neb. (October 22nd, 2024) - After a lost against Dubuque on Saturday, Nebraska Wesleyan women's soccer turns it's attention to its final week of regular A-R-C Conference play, with matches against Buena Vista and Central. 

LOCATION, GAME TIME, LIVE STREAM & LIVE STATS
Nebraska Wesleyan's match up against Buena Vista is scheduled to begin at 5:00 p.m. on Wednesday, October 23rd. The match will be played at J. Leslie Rollins Stadium & Peterson Field, in Storm Lake, Iowa. Buena Vista will live stream the game and carry live stats. Nebraska Wesleyan will then travel to Pella, Iowa to face Central on Saturday, October 26th for a match scheduled to begin at 3:30 p.m. Central will live stream the game and carry live stats.

ABOUT THE PRAIRIE WOLVES

HEAD COACH KEVIN LEBAHN
Kevin Lebahn is in his second season as head coach of Nebraska Wesleyan, with a 7-21-4 record. Prior to joining NWU, Lebahn was an assistant coach for Iowa Western men's soccer, where the team won the NJCAA Division I national championship in 2021.

SCOUTING THE BEAVERS
Buena Vista (7-7-1, 1-4 A-R-C) is coming off their first conference win to Coe College. The Beavers average 2.33 goals per match while allowing 2.67 goals per match. Buena Vista has taken 176 shots, with 101 on target, and recorded 25 assists. They are led by head coach Mauricio Lozada, now in his second season with the program.

SERIES HISTORY AGAINST BUENA VISTA
Wednesday's match will mark the second meeting between Nebraska Wesleyan and Buena Vista this season, with the Prairie Wolves beating Buena Vista 1-0 in a home non-conference match up on September 25th. The upcoming match will mark the 17th meeting between Nebraska Wesleyan and Buena Vista. The Prairie Wolves lead the all-time series 15-0-1.

SCOUTING THE DUTCH
Central (8-5-2, 1-2-2 A-R-C) enters the week following a draw against Wartburg. They will face Coe College on Wednesday, before looking to host the Prairie Wolves.
