Nebraska Wesleyan Falls to Undefeated Coe, 50-0

LINCOLN, Neb. (October 19, 2024) – Nebraska Wesleyan was shut out 50-0 by undefeated Coe College at Abel Stadium, dropping to 2-4 overall and 1-3 in American Rivers Conference play. The Prairie Wolves struggled to contain Coe's explosive offense while battling to find their own rhythm.

HOW IT HAPPENED:

Coe College wasted no time getting on the scoreboard, striking first with a 2-yard touchdown pass early in the first quarter. A field goal soon followed, putting Coe up 10-0. The second quarter was a defensive battle, with both teams failing to score, as Nebraska Wesleyan's defense, led by Eli Mackowski, held strong to keep the game within reach at halftime.

However, the second half belonged to Coe. The Kohawks broke the game open with a dominant third quarter, scoring 26 points, including a 47-yard touchdown pass and two rushing touchdowns. Nebraska Wesleyan's defense, despite standout performances from Tony Militti and Hunter Hanke, struggled to keep Coe's balanced attack in check. Coe added two more touchdowns in the fourth quarter, sealing the 50-0 victory.
