Men's Soccer Shuts Out Talented Foresters

HOW IT HAPPENED
  • Nebraska Wesleyan University began their 2023 in the win column over highly touted Lake Forest College. The Prairie Wolves scored two late goals in the second period to shutout the Foresters 2-0. 
  •  In the 55th minute, Thomas Distefano blasted a ball in between the pipes for his first goal of the year. The assist was credited to freshman, Owen Glogowski, 1-0.
  • Bryan Andrade sealed the deal in the final 10 minutes off of an Alex Kohler assist, 2-0.
  • The Black and Gold handed Lake Forest College their first shutout since tying with Cornell College (0-0) on October 15, 2022.

  • "A really good performance by our guys. We got a win in Colorado against Lake Forest, a team that was in the national tournament last year. That is somewhere we are trying to go and today was a great start."
  • "I am really proud of the work rate and effort. We did it in numbers today. The depth on this team is very strong."
