Box Score HOW IT HAPPENED

• The Prairie Wolves of Nebraska Wesleyan traveled to Pella, Iowa on Wednesday night to face the Dutch of Central College in a must-win game for both teams.
• NWU had five ladies find the scoring column in the first quarter, highlighted by a Tessa Skelton three to begin the game. After one, the teams were tied at 12 a piece, 12-12.
• Ellie Bream couldn't be stopped on the boards, gathering a quarter-high, five rebounds.
• Central separated themselves from the black and gold in the second quarter, behind a pair of deep balls and a 100% free throw percentage. The Prairie Wolves were outscored 20-6 and headed into halftime trailing, 18-32.
• NWU was hurt from all three-levels to start the second half. Central went 9-15 from the field and 5-6 from behind the arc. Nebraska Wesleyan entered the final 10 minutes down 31, 24-55.
• The Dutch successfully defended home court and split the season series, winning 38-66.
