HOW IT HAPPENED   

• Nebraska Wesleyan men's basketball claimed victory over the Blue Jays of Westminster College on Saturday afternoon, 89-56. 
• Westminster took an early lead with a score of 0-4. However, the Prairie Wolves quickly gained momentum, with a pair of layups from Conner Brown and a basket from Jack Groeteke, 6-5.
• From that moment onward, Dale Wellman's squad maintained the lead for the rest of the first half. Displaying aggressive defense, NWU outscored Westminster 12-0 in points off turnovers. The Prairie Wolves dominated the Blue Jays in the paint, outscoring them 28-2.  
• NWU went into the locker room with a 46-24 advantage.  
• The Prairie Wolves opened the second half with a 6-0 run. With 5:41 left in the game, a three-pointer from Peter Lash extended the Black and Gold's lead to 73-47.  
• A three-pointer from Amun-Ra Collins and a successful layup from Carter Glenn extended NWU's lead to 32 points.
• With a comfortable advantage, NWU went deep into its roster, giving playing time to all 18 active student-athletes. Nebraska Wesleyan's bench surpassed Westminster's bench, outscoring them 37-10. 
• Four straight points for Keshaun Bell secured the Prairie Wolves' victory over the Blue Jays of Westminster with a score of 89-56.
