HOW IT HAPPENED

• A late goal for the Wartburg Knights gave them the win on Wednesday night against Nebraska Wesleyan, 3-2.
• The Prairie Wolves' offense came out strong in the first period. Freshman Averie Hike was the first to score, giving the P-Wolves an early lead, 1-0.
• Both teams showed strong performances on both side of the field throughout the rest of the first period and into the second period.
• After the Knights tied things up at one a piece, Hannah Ghannam scored on a penalty kick to give the advantage back to the Black and Gold, 2-1.
• In the last thirty minutes, Wartburg College once again made things even and eventually cemented the win on a free kick goal, 2-3.
