Men's Soccer Battles Wartburg to a Draw

HOW IT HAPPENED 

  • The Prairie Wolves held the Knights of Wartburg College to a 0-0 draw Wednesday afternoon at Abel Stadium.  
  • The scoreless draw is the fifth time this season NWU has held its opponent scoreless. 
  • Alex Kohler and Jaden Hayes displayed a commendable performance on the front line for the Black and Gold, yet their efforts fell just short of hitting the back of the net. 
  • Goalie, Zachary Weis, displayed his exceptional skills by recording three crucial saves.  
  • The hard-fought draw in today's match granted both teams a well-earned conference point.

  • "It's the first ever regionally ranked game from men's soccer here at Abel Stadium, which is an achievement these boys should be really proud of."
  • "Everything's ahead of us and I'm really proud of the fact that in the couple regionally ranked teams that they have played, they have showed up. We've got to find a way to continue to improve and we go again in a matter of days."
