Men's Soccer Delivers Impressive 2-0 Win Over Grinnell

HOW IT HAPPENED
  • For the first 45 minutes, neither team made much noise. Together, Grinnell and the Prairie Wolves attempted 28 shots, but none found the net.
  • The first goal for Nebraska Wesleyan came early in the second half. Junior Alex Kohler blasted a ball in between the pipes for his third goal of the year. The assist was credited to senior Alex Aguilar.
  • Alex Aguilar scored the final goal for the Prairie Wolves in the 78th minute. Both Alex Kohler and freshman Bryan Andrade were given credit for an assist.
  • A pair of saves from Zachary Weis helped the Prairie Wolves record their first clean sheet of the season.
  • With two goals, and the win, the Prairie Wolves have broken the school record for the most consecutive games scored in, to begin a season. The streak is currently at eight.

The Prairie Wolves (2-5-1,0-0) will travel to St. Peter, Minnesota on Tuesday, September 20, to take on Gustavus-Adolphus College. Game time is set for 3:00 p.m.
