Men's Basketball's Last Second Scurry Not Enough to Defeat Central College

HOW IT HAPPENEDĀ 

  • The Central College Dutch were able to outlast the Nebraska Wesleyan Prairie Wolves on Wednesday night in Snyder Arena with a final score of 73-67, giving the Prairie Wolves their fourth loss on the season.
  • Nebraska Wesleyan was unable to keep the Dutch off the boards as they were out rebounded 42-23. Central scored 46 points in the paint.Ā 
  • Walker Andrew led the Prairie Wolves in the scoring category with 22 points, including 4-6 from behind the arc. Peter Lash and Carter Glenn both were able to get into double figures scoring 13 and 10 respectively.
  • The Prairie Wolves struggled greatly shooting the ball from the field at only 36.5%.
  • Elijah Thatch had a great contribution defensively reeling in 3 steals for the Prairie Wolves.
  • Free throws by Peter Lash and Walker Andrew were able to bring Nebraska Wesleyan within four under a minute to go.Ā 
  • The Dutch were able to ice the game away with a fast break dunk and free throws.
