Simpson Downs Women’s Soccer


INDIANOLA, Iowa (October 26, 2021) - The Nebraska Wesleyan women's soccer team was defeated in the season finale, 4-0, by Simpson College in Indianola, Iowa.

The Storm used a pair of goals in both halves to down the Prairie Wolves. NWU tried to chip away at the lead with four first half shots then attempted three more in the second half. For the game, Nebraska Wesleyan was credited with three shots on goal.

Liz Frisch led NWU with two shots, it was the final game for the senior as a Prairie Wolf. Fellow senior, Morgan Finley, took a shot on goal with Bryce Melis and Camila Munoz getting the two other shots on goal.

In net, Leslie Borges was credited with five saves over 61 minutes then Liz Wolf closed out the rest of the game with four saves. It was also the last game for both senior goalies. 

The loss to Simpson closes out Nebraska Wesleyan's season at 5-11 and 2-6 in the American Rivers Conference.
