FREMONT, Neb. – Midland University won all six singles matches and defeated Nebraska Wesleyan 7-0 in men's tennis action on Saturday morning (Feb. 29) in Fremont, Neb.
Doubles action was played using GPAC rules with doubles resulting in one point, making the final score 7-0 with the Warriors winning two of the three doubles matches.
Nebraska Wesleyan (0-3) got the win at No. 1 doubles with
Max Rademacher and
Spencer Anderson joining together to win 6-1 over Nathan Bitzer and Enrique Del Rio. Midland took the No. 2 doubles match 6-3 and won at No. 3 doubles 7-6.
The No. 3 doubles match went to a tiebreaker with
Cole Lohoefener and
Hayden Retzlaff coming up just short to Jason Taylor and Steven Deere 10-8 in the tiebreaker.
Midland (8-3) took the six singles matches all in straight sets.
Nebraska Wesleyan men's tennis is now off until March 18 when they face Doane University in Crete.
