LINCOLN, Neb. – The 2020 fall season came to a close for the Nebraska Wesleyan women's tennis team on Saturday (Oct. 24) with a 7-2 setback to Loras College in an American Rivers Conference dual that was played at the LSF Sports Complex.
NWU ends the conference schedule with an 0-7 record, while Loras College improves to 4-2. The Prairie Wolves were scheduled to face University of Dubuque on Sunday but that match was cancelled.
Brooke Sailer was part of both NWU wins in the dual with the Duhawks. She joined up with
Kailey Jay-Kissler to win 8-5 at No. 1 doubles. Sailer was also a winner in singles play getting a 6-3, 6-3 win over Audrey Hinz.
Sailer ended the fall season with a 5-6 overall record in singles play, going 3-4 against A-R-C opponents in duals. The duo of Sailer and Jay-Kissler went 2-5 at the No. 1 doubles position.
Loras won the other two doubles matches in scores of 8-0, 8-1. They won the five other singles matchups in straight sets.
