CEDAR RAPIDS, Iowa – The Nebraska Wesleyan men's tennis team dropped a pair of American Rivers Conference matches this weekend (March 29-30) on the road in Iowa. NWU fell 8-1 to Central College on Friday afternoon, then lost 9-0 at Coe College on Saturday morning.
NWU is now 2-10 overall and 1-3 in conference play with four A-R-C duals remaining.
The Prairie Wolves got an impressive doubles win against Central College in the first match of the weekend.

Spencer Anderson won 8-3 over David Boschma and Danny Anderson as the only points for the Prairie Wolves in the dual. Central won the other two doubles matches 8-1 and 9-0.
In singles play the Dutch won all six matches in straight sets. Anderson battled hard at No. 2 singles dropping his match 6-1, 7-5.
Jared Scherling also took his opponent this distance at No. 3 singles falling 6-1, 7-5.
Coe College moved to 12-6 overall as they opened their conference schedule with a 9-0 win over the Prairie Wolves. The Kohawks won the three doubles matches 8-1, 8-1, 8-0 to take the early 3-0 advantage.
All six singles matches were also decided in straight sets with the Kohawks coming out on top.
Next up for the Prairie Wolves men's tennis team is a match versus Wartburg College on April 13 at Woods Park in Lincoln.
