The Nebraska Wesleyan football team heads east to Iowa this Saturday (Oct. 26) when the Prairie Wolves travel to Pella, Iowa to face Central College in American Rivers Conference football action. Kickoff between the Prairie Wolves and Dutch is set for 1 pm at Schipper Stadium.
Nebraska Wesleyan has dropped three straight games, all to teams in the top third of the league standings. The Prairie Wolves enter Saturday's game with a 3-3 overall record and 1-3 mark in conference play to sit tied for 6
th in the American Rivers Conference.
Central is receiving votes in this week's AFCA/NCAA III Top 25 poll with their 5-1 overall record. The Dutch are 3-1 in conference play, one of three teams in the conference with only one loss.
NWU will face another high powered offense this Saturday going up against a Central team that scored over 42 points in all five of their victories. They lead the conference averaging 457.2 yards of total offense per game. Central is especially potent through the air, ranking second in the league with 294.8 yards of offense per game.

Jonathan Curti leads the A-R-C in passing at 300.3 yards per game, followed closely in second place by Dutch quarterback Blaine Hawkins at 279.7 per contest. Both Curti and Hawkins are three-year starters that have earned All-Conference recognition in each of the past two seasons.
