LINCOLN – The Nebraska Wesleyan football team closes out the 2018 season on Saturday afternoon (Nov. 3) when they host conference foe Buena Vista University in American Rivers Conference action. Kickoff between the Prairie Wolves and Beavers is set for 1 pm at Abel Stadium.
NWU brings a 2-7 overall, 1-6 American Rivers record into the season finale, with BVU entering the game at 1-7, 0-6 A-R-C.
The Prairie Wolves had a season-best 486 yards and 35 points last Saturday, but came up on the wrong end in a 54-35 loss at University of Dubuque. They are looking to post a win on Senior Day for the third straight season.
BVU is coming off a bye week and the Beavers are still looking for their first conference win. They are currently on a seven-game losing streak and have lost ten straight conference games dating back to last season. Buena Vista does feature a potent passing attack with a wide receiver that ranks in the top ten of NCAA III in receiving yards and all-purpose yards.
Saturday will be the final game for 23 Nebraska Wesleyan seniors as they put on the Prairie Wolves uniform for one last time. All 23 players will be honored prior to kickoff of Saturday's game.
Once again this week a live video broadcast is available courtesy of LNKTV Sports with Jeff Motz and Brett Edwards calling the action. A replay of the game will be shown on Saturday at 7 pm and twice on Sunday at 2:30 and 7:00. They can be seen on Charter Spectrum Channel 1303, Allo 23 or Windstream 1080.
The game can also be heard live locally on KFOR 1240 AM/103.3 FM or online at KFORnow.com with Hall of Fame broadcaster Dick Janda calling the action.
