NWU built up a 54-49 advantage at halftime with their strong shooting from the outside.  NWU was 11-24 on 3-pointers in the first half, while Dubuque was 50 percent at 6-12 from deep.

In the second half maintained the lead the entire way but the Spartans stayed with five points for the first ten minutes then NWU got up by 10 points on a 3-pointer from Deion Wells-Ross with just under nine minutes remaining.  Dubuque would not quit as got to as close as five points on a fast break dunk from Jamaree Atwater with 1:48 remaining.

The Prairie Wolves hit 4-4 free throws on the next two possessions to get back up by nine points and that would end the threat by the pesky Spartans.

Sophomore Nate Bahe came off the bench to score a career-high 26 points and lead the Prairie Wolves.  Bahe was 6-7 from the floor in the first half and finished the game at 10-14 from the floor.  He hit 4-8 from 3-point range to lead the team from beyond the arc.
