LINCOLN, Neb. – The 2017 home debut for the Nebraska Wesleyan University women's soccer team ended in a draw as the Prairie Wolves tied York College, 1-1, in double overtime on Wednesday night (Sept. 6) at Abel Stadium.
With the tie, the Prairie Wolves record moves to 0-3-1 overall, with York going to 1-2-1 after four matches on the season.

Natalie Graves got NWU on the board first as she scored in the 18
th minute on an assist from
Shannon Jerram.
NWU continued to put the pressure on the Panthers throughout the first half as they attempted 13 total shots in the opening half, compared to only five for York.
York was able to tie the match later in the half as Nadia Rodriguez scored in the 37
th minute to make the score 1-1.
That 1-1 score would hold up through halftime, and for the 65 minutes as neither team was able to break the tie.
Nebraska Wesleyan continued to get scoring chances in the second half with seven shot attempts, but they could not find the back of the goal. York then became the more aggressive team in the overtime periods with six total shot compared to only two for Nebraska Wesleyan.
The Prairie Wolves will look to get in the win column this weekend when travel back up to Minnesota to participate in the Big Athletics/Adidas Tournament in Winona, Minn.
