NWU Football Set to Host Simpson on Senior Day

LINCOLN – The Nebraska Wesleyan football team closes out their home schedule this Saturday afternoon (Nov. 4) when they host conference foe Simpson College in Iowa Intercollegiate Athletic Conference action.  Kickoff between the Prairie Wolves and Storm is set for 1 pm at Abel Stadium.

Saturday is Senior Day for the NWU football team as they will honor the 19 seniors and their parents before kickoff.

NWU is coming off their bye week last Saturday and hopes to carry over the momentum from the 14-13 win at Buena Vista on October 21 and finish the season strong the final two games of the year.  The Prairie Wolves are now 1-7 overall and 1-5 in IIAC action.

Simpson closes out their season on Saturday playing their final game of the year.  The Storm have a 5-4 overall and 4-3 IIAC record in a turnaround season for Simpson football.  A win on Saturday would secure their first winning season since 2013.

Once again this week a live video broadcast is available courtesy of LNKTV Sports/NWU Sports Network with replays airing on local cable TV Saturday evening and twice on Sunday.  The games can be seen on Windstream's Kinetic Channel 80, Charter Spectrum Channel 1303 and Allo Channel 23.

The game can also be heard live locally on KFOR 1240 AM/103.3 FM or online at kfornow.com with NWU Hall of Fame broadcaster Dick Janda calling the action.
