LINCOLN, Neb. – Presentation College came into Abel Stadium and held the Nebraska Wesleyan women's soccer team scoreless as the Saints held on for a 1-0 victory over the Prairie Wolves on Friday night (Sept. 16).
 
NWU drops down to 3-4 on the year and Presentation, an NAIA school out of Aberdeen, S.D., picks up their third win to move to 3-2-1.
 
Presentation scored the only goal of the match early in the first half when Lainee Brown found the open net in the 10^th minute.  That goal from the Saints would be the only goal of the entire match as neither team was able to create many scoring opportunities.
 
Nebraska Wesleyan tried to make several late rallies in the second half to tie the match, but the Saints defense prevented the Prairie Wolves from scoring.  NWU attempted four shots on the night, but none of the shots were on goal.
 
The Prairie Wolves have a chance to rebound right away as they are back in action on Saturday at Grinnell College in Grinnell, Iowa.
