Highest Scoring Output for NWU Men in Win Over Presentation

LINCOLN, Neb. – Nebraska Wesleyan scored a season-high five goals as the Prairie Wolves remain undefeated with a 5-1 win over Presentation College on Friday night (Sept. 16) in men's soccer action at Abel Stadium.

NWU improves to 4-0-2 overall on the year, while the Saints fall to 1-7.

The Prairie Wolves wasted little time to get on the attack against the Saints.  Aaron Proulx got NWU on the board in the first 10 minutes as he scored in the 8th minute to put NWU up 1-0.  Brady Blazek followed up that goal less than three minutes later on an assist from Logan Johnson as NWU led 2-0 just over 12 minutes into the match.

Presentation cut the lead in half in the 20th minute when Cillian Fagan scored for the Saints at the 20:58 mark.

Brady Blazek struck again just two minutes later as he scored his second goal of the match and third of the season.  This goal put NWU ahead 3-1, a score that would last until halftime.

NWU continued to build upon their lead in the second half.  Will Weber scored in the 60th minute and fellow senior Drew Miller closed out the scoring  in the 74th minute as he got his first goal of the year.

Blazek finished the match with two goals and one assist as the Prairie Wolves offense had their best output of the year.

Nebraska Wesleyan has little time to enjoy the win as they travel to Grinnell College on Saturday for a match.
