YANKTON, S.D. - The 2015-16 Nebraska Wesleyan women's basketball season came to a close on Saturday (Feb. 20) as the Prairie Wolves fell 77-55 at 19th-ranked Mount Marty College at Cimpl Arena in Yankton, S.D.
The Prairie Wolves finish the year with a 4-21 overall record and a 3-19 mark in GPAC play.
Mount Marty jumped ahead 30-10 in the first quarter of play as the Lancers made 11-of-20 from the floor in the first ten minutes. NWU was only 4-13 from the field in the first quarter as the Prairie Wolves fell behind early.
Nebraska Wesleyan was only outscored by two points in the final three periods as the Prairie Wolves maintained a close distance with the Lancers.
NWU shot 37.7 percent from the floor and were 6-21 from 3-point range while the Lancers shot 40.9 percent and made 13-of-40 from long distance.
Courtney Cook and
Alli Kalal both scored nine points to lead the Prairie Wolves in scoring.Â
Felicia TeKolste had eight points and six assists in her final game in a NWU uniform.
Mount Marty was led by Alex Kneeland and KellieWinkler who both scored 14 points.
