LINCOLN, Neb. -- A 2-run HR in the top of the 8th inning gave Mount Marty a 5-3 extra innings victory in game one of a GPAC Baseball doubleheader to spoil Nebraska Wesleyan's Senior Day on Tuesday afternoon (April 21). NWU was shutout in the second game as the Lancers won 7-0.
The loss drops the Prairie Wolves to 6-10 in GPAC play and puts NWU now in a tie for 10th place in the league standings. The top eight teams make the GPAC Postseason Tournament. Two doubleheaders remain for the Prairie Wolves in the 2015 season as they fight for a postseason spot this week.
