Box Score LINCOLN, NEB -- Central College scored a goal with just 41 seconds remaining in the match to tie the score at 1-1 and that would be the final tally as Nebraska Wesleyan and Central's women's soccer match ended in a draw on Tuesday afternoon.
Nebraska Wesleyan appeared to have the victory when the Dutch got a corner kick in the final minute. With the ball bouncing around the front of the goal, Kallie Holte got a clean touch and scored the goal.
Neither team was able to score in the two overtime periods as the game ended 1-1. The Prairie Wolves record moves to 4-1-1 while Central goes to 3-2-2.
Makensie Thaller gave the Prairie Wolves the lead in the second half to break open the 0-0 match. Thaller scored her second goal of the season as she was able to convert a penalty kick in the 53rd minute.
That would be the only NWU score of the match and the only goal of the match until the final minute. In the overtime period, it was a defensive struggle as Central did not even attempt a shot in the final 20 minutes, with NWU getting two in each period.
