TeKolste Scores 30 in Loss To Webster

Box Score Felicia TeKolste scored a career-high 30 points, but it wasn't enough as the host school Webster University defeated Nebraska Wesleyan University, 67-54, on day two of the Webster Classic in St. Louis, Mo.

Webster remained undefeated on the season while NWU fell to 1-1 to open the 2013-14 women's basketball season.

The Gorlocks broke out of a 5-5 tie just over two minutes into the game and they never trailed again as the Prairie Wolves played catch up the entire game. 

NWU went six minutes in the first half without a field goal and Webster took advantage to pull ahead for an 11-point lead. 

Amanda Diaz made a basket at the 5:30 mark to get the Prairie Wolves within six points, but they did not score the rest of the half  with Webster leading 34-20 at half.

In the second half, Courtney Cook hit a basket with 7:40 left in the game making the score 44-40, but that was as close as NWU could get. 

TeKolste scored 12 of the team's final 14 points and was the only NWU player to make a field goal in the final 7:40 of the game.  She finished the game 11-18 from the field and 2-2 from 3-point range for her 30 points.

Courtney Cook added 10 points and eight rebounds for the Prairie Wolves.
