Red Raiders and Prairie Wolves End in 0-0 Draw

Box Score The Nebraska Wesleyan University women's soccer team is still without a loss during Great Plains Athletic Conference play, but the Prairie Wolves had their first tie of the year as Northwestern and NWU ended in a 0-0 draw on Saturday afternoon (Oct. 5) at Abel Stadium in Lincoln.



NWU, battling the windy and cold conditions, had their opportunities but could not put the ball in the net. The Prairie Wolves had 15 total shots in the match, compared to nine for the Red Raiders.



The best scoring opportunity came in the 26th minute when Ashlee Slade had a penalty kick chance but the attempt was saved by Red Raider goalie Ariel Watts.



Nebraska Wesleyan attempted three more shots in the second overtime period, but to no avail as the match ended in a draw.



Madi Francis recorded six saves in goal for the Prairie Wolves as she posted a shutout of her own.
