It was just the second conference loss of the year for NWU as they drop to 4-2-1 in GPAC play, while Briar Cliff passes the Prairie Wolves in the standings as they improve to 5-1.
The Chargers got on the board in the fifth minute of the match as Sadelle Schultz scored early to put Briar Cliff ahead 1-0.
Nebraska Wesleyan answered in the 16th minute as
Ashlee Slade found the open net from
Jenna Herse and scored a goal off a deflection.
The score would remain 1-1 at intermission and neither team could muster up any offense until the eventual game-winning goal from Briar Cliff at the 74:30 mark of the match.
