2017: Qualified for the NCAA III Outdoor Track & Field Championships in the 10,000 meters … finished 16^th overall in the event … a career-best time of 30:23.91 at the Drake Relays to move up to 3^rd on the NWU all-time charts in the 10,000 … placed 4^th in both the 5,000 and 10,000 at the IIAC Outdoor Championships to just miss out on All-Conference recognition … at IIAC Indoor championships was 4^th in the 5,000 and finished 8^th in the 3,000 meters … named USTFCCCA All-Central Region in the 10,000 meters … won the 5,000 meters at the Concordia Outdoor Invite … selected to USTFCCCA All-Academic team … also on IIAC All-Academic team.

2016: A GPAC Champion in the 5,000 meters at the 2016 indoor conference championships … was the GPAC runner-up in the 3,000 meters at the indoor meet … added two more All-Conference honors at the GPAC Outdoor Championships … was conference runner-up in the 10,000 meters on day one of the meet … came back on day two and placed 3^rd in the 5,000 meters … ran a season-best time of 31:00.07 to place 5^th at the Kansas relays … time set new record for NWU first year athlete and ranks 10^th all-time … won the 5,000 at the NWU-Doane Dual … also won the 10,000 meters at NCC Gregory Qualifier … during the indoor season entered all-time charts in both running events.

Academic: Curriculum & Instruction major.

In High School: A four-year letterwinner in track & field at Omaha Westside HS … competed at the Nebraska State Track Meet as a member of the 4x800 relay team that placed 13^th … a four-year letterwinner in cross country … placed 30^th at the Class A State Cross Country meet.

Personal: Born 1/4/96, son of Mike and Mary Wheeler … transferred to NWU after one year at Truman State University … also a member of NWU cross country team.
