2016: Earned a spot at the GPAC Outdoor Championships in the hammer throw … did not record a mark at the event … set a new personal best in the hammer with a toss of 160-11 at Prairie Wolf Invite … moved to 6^th on the NWU all-time charts … was a Pflieger-Olson Scholar Athlete.

2015: Qualified for his first GPAC Championships as a sophomore … competed in the hammer throw at the 2015 GPAC Outdoor Championships … placed 19^th in the event … set new personal best marks in all four throwing events during 2015 … finished 2^nd in the hammer throw at the NWU Prairie Wolf Invite with a season-best mark of 144-0.

2014: Was a letterwinner in track & field competing in the throws for the Prairie Wolves … did both the shot put and weight throw indoors … competed in shot put, discus and hammer in outdoor season … had a season-best toss of 40-9 ½ in the shot put at the Darren Young Indoor Classic.

Academic: Business Administration major.  

In High School: A four-year letterwinner in track & field at Norfolk Catholic HS … was a state qualifier in the 4x100 relay as a senior … named Academic All-State in track … a 1^st-Team All-State player in football as a senior … led team to three straight State championships in football … also lettered twice in wrestling … a member of National Honor Society.  

Personal: Born 8/11/94, son of Ted and Becky McCarthy … also a member of NWU Football team where he was 1^st-Team All-IIAC on the offensive line as a senior.
