2017: Ran on the NWU Distance Medley relay team that placed 4^th at the IIAC Indoor Championships to just miss earning All-Conference recognition … competed in the 3,000 meters at IIAC indoor meet and placed 10^th … at IIAC Outdoor championships was entered into the steeplechase … set a new career best time of 9:27.81 in the steeplechase at the Kansas Relays … won the steeplechase in the NWU-Doane Dual.

2016: A two-time All-Conference performer as a sophomore for the Prairie Wolves … placed 7^th in the Mile at the GPAC Indoor Championships … ran career best time of 4:27.76 in the event to earn a conference medal … at GPAC Outdoor meet finished 8^th in the steeplechase for All-Conference recognition in a second straight year in the event … ended the year with a career best time of 9:53.15 to win the steeplechase at the Prairie Wolf Outdoor meet … also won steeplechase in the NWU-Doane Dual.

2015: Earned All-Conference recognition in his first season of track & field … finished 6^th in the steeplechase at the 2015 GPAC Outdoor Championships … also qualified for the GPAC Indoor Track championships in the mile … placed 16^th in the mile at GPAC Indoor … ran a season-best time of 10:08.85 in the steeplechase placing third at the Prairie Wolf Invite … ran three different distance events in the indoor season.

Academic: Sport Management major.  

In High School: A three-year letterwinner in track & field at Lincoln Pius X HS … lettered four times in cross country … ran on the 2013 State Champion 4x800 relay team with the Thunderbolts … won the All-Class Gold medal in the 4x800 relay as a junior … also qualified for the state track meet in 2014 in the 4x800 and took 9^th … a two-time state qualifier in cross country.

Personal: Born 1/15/96, son of Rod and Sherry Berens … also a member of NWU cross country team.
