Jackson Carter begins his first season as an assistant swimming coach at Nebraska Wesleyan University.
Carter swam for four years under NWU head coach Greg Fleming at Lincoln East High School from 2006-10. While at Lincoln East, Carter was a four-year varsity letterwinner in swimming. He was a three-time Class A State Champion in relay events winning the 200 Free twice and the 200 IM once. He qualified for the Nebraska High School State Swimming Championships all four seasons.
He has been a part of the Lincoln youth swim community for several years spending each summer teaching youth swim lessons at various locations in Lincoln.
After graduating from Lincoln East in 2010, Carter attended Nebraska Wesleyan University from 2010-14. While at NWU, he started the NWU Swim Club on campus to provide a group of students the opportunity to workout and improve their swimming. He put together workout programs to allow students to work on their swim technique.
Carter graduated from Nebraska Wesleyan in May 2014 with a bachelor’s degree in English with a teaching endorsement. This fall he will begin his first year as a Junior High English teacher at Raymond Central schools.
