2016: A USTFCCA All-Region performer for the second consecutive season … placed 17^th at the NCAA Central Regional championships … picked up his second straight All-Conference award … finished 9^th at the IIAC Championships leading the NWU men to a runner-up team placing … was the No. 2 NWU runner in three meets throughout the year … placed 18^th at the Jim Drews Invitational as the second Prairie Wolves runner to cross the finish line … a USTFCCCA Scholar Athlete … named to the IIAC All-Academic Team.

2015: The 2015 GPAC Men’s Cross Country Runner-of-the-Year … won the GPAC Championships in a time of 25:23.16 to win the individual title and lead NWU to the GPAC team title … a USTFCCCAA All Central Region runner … placed 17^th at the NCAA Central Regional race … was the top NWU male runner at every race of the year … placed 2^nd at the Running of the Cows race … earned GPAC Runner-of-the-Week honors for his performance … also was GPAC Runner-of-the-Week after placing 8^th at the Jim Drews Invitational … crossed the line in 8^th place at the season opening Woody Greeno Invitational … a USTFCCCA Scholar Athlete.  

Academic: Mathematics major.


In High School: A four-year letterwinner in cross country at Omaha Westside HS … also lettered four years in track & field … placed 30^th at the Class A Nebraska State Cross Country meet in 2013 … competed at the Nebraska State Track Meet as a member of the 4x800 relay team that placed 13^th.

Personal: Born 1/4/96, son of Mike and Mary Wheeler … transferred to NWU after one year at Truman State University.
