Joel Stoltenow

Joel Stoltenow is in his sixth season as an assistant coach with the Nebraska Wesleyan men’s basketball program. He will be a varsity assistant this season after serving as the head junior varsity coach his first four seasons.

From 2004-08, Stoltenow was the head boys basketball coach at Lincoln Lutheran High School. In 2008, he led the team to the school’s first ever District Championship and a trip to the Nebraska Class C-1 State Tournament.

Prior to his coaching experience, he was a community relations assistant for the Carolina Panthers in the NFL. He was also a sports information intern at Davidson College for one season.

Stoltenow earned a bachelor’s degree in Communications/English from Gustavus Adolphus College in 1999. He received his teacher licensure from Concordia University in 2004 and currently pursuing his masters in curriculum and instruction at Peru State College.

Stoltenow also is a Secondary English/Religion teacher at Lincoln Lutheran High School.
