LINCOLN, Neb. – The Nebraska Wesleyan University softball program has been recognized as an Easton/NFCA Scholar Team for the 2024–25 academic year, continuing its tradition of excellence in the classroom. In addition to the team honor, 13 Prairie Wolves earned individual Easton/NFCA All-America Scholar-Athlete accolades, as announced by the National Fastpitch Coaches Association (NFCA).
The prestigious academic distinction is awarded to student-athletes who achieved a cumulative GPA of 3.5 or higher during the academic year.
Among those honored, Hanna Roth and Elise Warneke earned their fourth scholar athlete distinction in their careers. Paige Davison, Addi Duranski, Val Gerlach and Kenzie Heedum all garnered their third career NFCA Scholar Athlete honor. Eva Fahrnbruch, Taylor Korecky, Lyndsey Roth, and Kamdyn Sprunk all earned their second NFCA Scholar Athlete distinction while Paige Comstock, Jenna Kimberling, and Reagan Kjeldgaard were all first-time award winners.

The NFCA recognized a total of 9,199 collegiate student-athletes across its membership divisions for their academic performance. NCAA Division III led the way with 2,565 honorees, followed by NCAA Division I (2,544), NCAA Division II (2,179), NAIA (1,010), and junior colleges (895). Team GPAs and scholar-athletes are submitted by member head coaches, and the awards reflect the academic rigor and dedication of softball student-athletes nationwide.
