2022: Earned his fourth straight varsity letter... ran at the American Rivers Conference Indoor Championships in the 5000-meter run and placed 17th at 15:50.42... placed first in 3000-meter run at Fred Beile Classic (2/12) in 9:15.72... ran the 10,000-meter run at the American Rivers Conference Outdoor Championships placing 14th with a career best time of 33:08.50... had a season best finish of second in the 10,000 meter run with a 33:17.29 time at the Prairie Wolf Invite (4/28).
2021:Â Finished in the top 15 for the second straight year in the 5000m race at the American Rivers Conference Indoor Championships with a time of 16:00.08... set a new PR of 4:50.20 in the mile race at the Central Triangular... placed third in the 3000m race with a time of 9:26.50 at the Buena Vista Triangular... placed second in the 3000m race at the NWU Triangular with a time of 9:22.39.
2020:Â Finished 13th in the 5000 meter at the American Rivers Conference Indoor Championships... placed first in the 5000m at the Concordia Classic... finished 13th in the 3000m at the Darren Young Classic... 2020 outdoor season was not contested due to the Covid-19 Global Health Pandemic
2019: Earned a varsity letter in track & field as a distance runner during his freshman season … ran at the conference championship meet both indoors and outdoors … finished 17th in the 3,000 at the American Rivers indoor championships … placed 18th in the 10,000 at the outdoor meet … competed in three different distance races throughout the outdoor season … took part in six indoor meets … highest individual placing was 6th in the 10,000 at the Concordia Outdoor Invite.
Academic: Mathematics major.
In High School: Qualified for the Nebraska Class A State Track & Field Championships as a senior at Bellevue East HS … a four-year varsity letterwinner … also qualified for the state cross country championships … earned Academic All-State recognition.
Personal: Born 7/19/99, son of Daniel and Carolyn Pennell … also a member of NWU cross country team.
