LINCOLN, Neb. (May 9, 2024) - The Nebraska Weslyan University track and field team started the 2024 A-R-C Outdoor Championships with
Kevin Sohl and Jayden Tarohocker competing in the decathlon and
Sarah Kolterman competing in the heptathlon. After day one of events, Tarohocker sits seventh with 3,063 points, while Sohl holds the ninth overall spot with 2,900 points. Kolterman closed out Thursday in tenth place with 1,789 points.
HOW IT HAPPENED
- Jaydon Tarohocker jumped 6.53m to finish fourth in the decathlon long jump. Sohl recorded a leap of 5.81m to finish ninth.
- Tying for third, Tarohocker cleared 1.81m in the decathlon high jump. Sohl added 610 points to his total with a high jump mark of 1.78m.
- Sarah Kolterman had her best showing of the day in the decathlon shot put. Kolterman finished sixth out of 11 competitors with a catapult of 9.40m.
- Kolterman tacked on 470 more points to her total, getting eighth in the decathlon high jump.

- Day two of the 2024 A-R-C Outdoor Championships will begin at 10:00 a.m. on Friday, May 10. All events will be hosted on the campus of Nebraska Wesleyan University.
