Lincoln, Nebraska- The outdoor season begins this weekend as the Nebraska Wesleyan track and field teams prepare for the second half of the 2023 campaign.
Nebraska Wesleyan will compete in eight regular season meets with two postseason competitions set in May (A-R-C Outdoor Championships, NCAA Division III Outdoor Championships).
The Central Nebraska Challenge will play host to the Prairie Wolves this Saturday (April, 1).

THE PRAIRIE WOLF LINEUP
The Prairie Wolves open the outdoor campaign in Kearney, Nebraska for the Central Nebraska Challenge.
This weekend will see athletes in numerous events compete for Nebraska Wesleyan.
- The 100m and 200m will see several athletes compete including Shantel Koranda, Bre Geary, Raegan Levi, Steven Dalmeida, Austin Nauert, and Morgan Conner.
- The 400m and 800m will see Reagan Koza (400), Trisha Hayes (400), Kyle Dickinson (400), Ben Christenson (400), Garrett Lenners (800), and Gabe Anderson (800) compete.
- A majority of distance runners will open up in the 1500 meters including the likes of Thea Seibel, Kate Slama, Kate Schoening, Mason Coulter, Landon Heller, and Jacob Osher.
- Several athletes will compete in the hurdles including, Keeley Hourigan (100 H/400), Eli Etherton (110 H), Marshall Chasek (110 H), Tanner Johnson (110 H), Noah Smith (110 H), and Zach Frandolig (400 H).
- Several athletes will also be competing in the field events.
- Ellie Akough, Aliah Clarke, Ryan Chesnik, and Connor Wilcox will be competing in at least one of hammer throw, discus, and shot put. Mackenna Witte and Sam Homan will both be competing in the Javelin.
- Bre Geary, Natalie Cummins, Lachlan Pickering, and Kodjo Atikpohou headline the Long jump. Pickering will also compete in the triple jump.
- High Jump will see Emily Druse, Amelia Herbert, and Eli Mackowski compete.
- Druse and Herbert will also compete in pole vault alongside Grahm Peterson, Zeth Gerkensmeyer, and Chris Rylant.
