Lisa Kessner (’84) was a four-year letter winner at Nebraska Wesleyan and played on the strong tennis teams of the early 1980’s, including the NIAC championship teams of 1983 and 1984. In 1982, Kessner won No. 1 doubles with Jane Cech and won the No. 1 singles at the NIAC championships. In 1983, she had a 13-5 record at No. 1 singles and was 8-3 at No. 1 doubles. In 1984, she was chosen as the teams’ Most Valuable Player, had a 7-2 record at No. 1 singles, including a 5-1 conference mark. She won the NIAC championship in both No. 1 doubles and No. 1 singles.
