Nebraska Wesleyan University Athletics

An All-American on the course and off the course, Kelly Karmazin (Lincoln, Neb.) was a standout for the Nebraska Wesleyan men’s golf team from 1994-97.  He was a two-time All-American and a two-time CoSIDA Academic All-American, the only Academic All-American in NWU men’s golf program history.
 
Karmazin placed 16^th at the 1997 NAIA Golf Championships to earn All-American recognition.  He was 26^th at the 1996 NAIA Golf Championships earning honorable mention All-American honors.  Karmazin was a 1^st-Team Academic All-American in 1997 and a 3^rd-Team selection in 1996.  In 1996 he was named the Golf Coaches Association Scholar of the Year.
 
As a senior, Karmazin was the 1997 NIAC Champion to finish his career as a four-time All-Conference performer.  He was the NIAC Runner-up in both 1996 and 1995 and finished 6^th in his first championships in 1994.  Karmazin was the medalist at the 1994 NAIA District 11 Championships.
 
The Lincoln East HS graduate played at three NCAA III Championships, starting with a 30^th place finish in 1994 helping NWU to a 5^th place team finish.  He was also the team’s top finisher placing 31^st as a senior at the 1997 NCAA III Championships.
