Jane Cech (’83) was a four-year letter winner in tennis from 1980-1983. As a senior, Cech played No. 2 singles and was a NAIA Academic All-American with a 3.6 GPA and helped her team qualify for the NAIA national tournament. As a junior, Cech played No. 2 singles behind fellow Hall of Famer Lisa Kessner. She finished with a 14-2 record and an 8-3 record at No. 1 doubles with Kessner. The pair won the NIAC Conference that year at No. 1 doubles.
