Boeka ('75) was a four-year letterwinner in baseball and a three-year letterwinner in football. During his baseball career, Boeka set the school record for career batting with a .358 average, which currently ranks third. At the time his 117 hits was another school record. He was named First Team All-NIAC in his sophomore, junior and senior years at second base. In 1974 Boeka batter .409 to finish 17th in the nation and help lead Nebraska Wesleyan to its first appearance in the NCAA Division III Championships. Boeka played defensive back and wide receiver for the football team. He is currently the head football and girls track coach at Central City High School.
