Atwell-Hunsaker (’85) was a four-year letterwinner in both cross country and track and field. She was a four-year NCAA Division III qualifier in track and qualified for the national cross country championships in 1984. During her track career, Atwell-Hunsaker set the school record in the indoor and outdoor 800-meter run. Her indoor time of 2 minutes, 18.3 seconds has stood as the school record for the past 14 years. In 1982 Atwell-Hunsaker was also a member of Wesleyan’s record-setting indoor 1,600-meter relay team and recorded the second-fastest indoor 600 time in school history.
