One of the top scorers in Nebraska Wesleyan men’s soccer history, Chris McCallum (Lincoln, Neb.) was a key part of the most dominant three year run by the Plainsmen soccer program.
McCallum was named 1st-Team All-NIAC at forward all three seasons he played after transferring from Northwest Missouri State. In his first year at NWU, McCallum set a school record by scoring 20 goals and 46 points leading the team to the NIAC Tournament title and bid to the NAIA Regional Tournament.
As a senior, McCallum scored 18 goals and was 1st-Team All-NIAC leading the Plainsmen to an undefeated 19-0 record, the most successful season in school history. He was 2nd-Team NAIA All-Great Plains All-Region as a junior in 1998 scoring 11 goals with 10 assists helping NWU to a NIAC title.
In three years, the Lincoln East HS graduate scored 49 career goals to rank 2nd on the NWU all-time charts. He finished with 116 points, a total that still ranks 3rd all-time. A two-time All-Nebraska selection, McCallum helped NWU go 56-5 over the three year stretch during his time with the program.
