LINCOLN, Neb. – NWU senior women's golfer
Joselyn Lemm was the only player to break 80 as she shot a round of 78 to earn individual medalist honors at the 2017 NWU Spring Women's Golf Invitational that was played on Thursday (April 6) at Holmes Golf Course in Lincoln, Neb.
Lemm finished +5 with her score of 78 to win the tournament by four strokes over Myla Brown and Alex Mankle both of Morningside College.
Morningside was the team champion with a score of 339. College of Saint Mary was second at 351, one stroke ahead of Nebraska Wesleyan who shot 352 in their own invite. Midland University was fourth at 363, the Midland B team ended 5
th at 375 followed by Hastings College at 397.
Lemm had three birdies on the day to go along with eight pars during her round. She was the only player in the field with three birdies. It is the first career tournament collegiate victory for
Joselyn Lemm.
Joining Lemm in the individual top ten was NWU teammate
Sam Beal who tied for 4
th with a score of 86. Beal was one of two players who shot 86 on the day. A group of two players shot 87, two more shot 88 and five tied for 10
th with scores of 89 and scorecard playoffs were needed for every spot.
The other NWU players in the top 20 were
Megan Canfield and Rachel Petic who tied for 19
th with a score of 94. The fifth NWU golfer was
MacKenzie Maschka who shot a 108.

Mallory Huck (104).
